snowy street in the early morning

I used to work on this street. Charles Joseph Traffic Services. My best friends dad owned the company, and we worked with a group of close friends over the course of a few summers.

One of those summers we all 'worked' in this dank warehouse filling sandbags... there was a rickety upper level we would leap off of into a giant sand pile and pelt each other with rotten Asbestos tiles that had crumbled from the ceiling. The broken tiles would slice through the air and explode into powder right above our heads while we ran around like cackling idiots. ..can't wait for the after-effects of that one.

Anyway, this was painted years down the track the morning after our daughter was born. The street looked different, but the same. Strangley deserted but hauntingly familiar.

thanks! I painted it digitally. My thoughts are that these are sketches to be translated to larger paintings... but who knows if that will ever truly happen. Better print 'em out before electricity dissapears.

This is absolutely amazing! Made my heart stop a bit. Can't believe you did this digitally, you're incredible!

Your art is so beautiful, I can't wait to see what you do with Janelle Monae's comic book!
